Our Services

AAC Evaluations

A comprehensive evaluation to assess communication needs and identify the most appropriate AAC system for individuals who cannot rely on verbal speech alone. Our evaluations include feature matching, device trials, and a formal recommendation — plus support through the full acquisition process via insurance, grant funding, or private purchase.

Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)

When a family disagrees with a school district’s full and individual evaluation, they have the right to request an Independent Educational Evaluation. We provide objective, thorough assessments conducted independently of the school district across a range of areas including language, articulation, fluency, and augmentative and alternative communication — giving families the information and documentation they need to advocate effectively for their child. Families may be entitled to reimbursement from their school district for the cost of an IEE.

AAC- & Literacy-Focused Speech-Language Therapy

AAC-Based & Literacy-Focused Therapy For individuals who use or are learning to use AAC, having a device is only the first step — learning to use it meaningfully and purposefully takes time, intention, and the right support. We provide direct therapy targeting functional communication development through AAC, as well as comprehensive literacy skills including phonological awareness, print concepts, and reading and writing foundational skills.

Therapy with us is never just a session between the clinician and client. Caregivers, parents, and family members are not just welcome to observe and participate; they are an essential part of the process. Every session is an opportunity to learn, practice, and build the communication partner skills that make progress last beyond our time together.

Caregiver Education & Coaching

Having the right AAC system is only the beginning. The people who show up every day, parents, caregivers, and other important family members are a person's most critical allies. Their confidence and communication partner skills make all the difference. We partner with families and caregivers to build the AAC knowledge, communication partner skills, and implementation strategies needed to make AAC work in real life, across every setting, every routine, and every relationship. Our personalized coaching and education empower families to show up as strong, informed partners in every interaction and to advocate effectively for their loved one's communication access.
